Change of the SAAM Terminals and part of its portfolio brand to Hanseatic Global Terminals by 01 August 2025.

SANTIAGO | Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT) announced today that its subsidiary, SAAM Terminals, will officially adopt the name of its parent company, Hanseatic Global Terminals, effective 01 August, 2025. This transition will establish the former SAAM Terminals as HGT’s regional office for Latin America. Similarly, SAAM Logistics and SAAM Extraportuarios will be rebranded under Hanseatic Global Terminals’ Inland Services business line.

Established in 2024, Hanseatic Global Terminals is an independent entity operating under the Hapag-Lloyd group of companies, focused on Terminals and Infrastructure. This transition marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey to enhance the global terminal network and service offerings. Starting June 2025, changes to the brand will commence with completion by the end of July 2025.

“We are excited about what the future holds. With our enhanced portfolio and skilled workforce, Hanseatic Global Terminals is taking solid steps towards realizing our strategic vision. This rebranding marks a significant milestone in our journey to becoming a global terminal operator by 2030”, Dheeraj Bhatia, CEO Hanseatic Global Terminals.

“We are thrilled to announce the launch of our rebranding initiative and initiate the formation of a regional office of Hanseatic Global Terminals. SAAM Terminals will transition to Hanseatic Global Terminals, to become a significant part of a global network of terminals driving operational excellence in North and South America. Our people are most important to us. We will continue to deliver the high quality of service that our customers, partners and investors are accustomed to, strengthened by access to a global network”, Mauricio Carrasco, CEO SAAM Terminals.

SAAM Terminals headquarters in Santiago will become the regional headquarters for Latin America under the Hanseatic Global Terminals brand, and operate under the legal name Hanseatic Global Terminals Latin America S.A. SAAM Logistics and SAAM Extraportuarios will also operate under the Hanseatic Global Terminals brand, as part of its Inland Services business line. Their new legal names will be Hanseatic Global Terminals Chile Logistics S.A. and Hanseatic Global Terminals Chile Extraportuarios S.A., respectively.

Furthermore, there will be rebranding of the facilities, workwear, office environment, and digital assets such as websites and social media. Efforts also include the standardization and strengthening of processes and procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality service worldwide.

Customers, shareholders, investors and the communities where the company operates, will continue to receive the high quality of service they are familiar with. Similarly, the role of people, teams and the support provided, as well as the company’s unwavering commitment to safety, reliability, and sustainability, will not change. This unification provides exciting new opportunities and continued excellence in service globally.

Hanseatic Global Terminals has a robust vision for 2030, to expand from 22 port terminals to ~30 terminals by 2030, evolving from a portfolio of terminals to a global terminal operator.
