Chief Executive Officer
With more than 10 years of experience in the shipping and port terminals industries, Mauricio joined Compañía Sudamericana de Vapores (CSAV) in 2012 as Senior Vice President of Business Development leading global commercial, operational and procurement initiatives to improve profitability. He then served as Senior Vice President of Integration and Senior Director of Hapag-Lloyd, with assignments in the Americas, China, Dubai and India. In January 2020 he joined SAAM as the head of the Port Terminals Division, before assuming the role of CEO of SAAM Terminals in 2023.
Mauricio holds a degree in electrical engineering from Universidad de Chile, an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and a diploma in Environmental Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Chief Financial Officer
Rodolfo is a Civil Industrial Engineer from the University of Chile with a Master in Engineering Sciences from the same University, and a Finance MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.
He has an extensive professional career, most of it under the wing of Hapag-Lloyd, company which he joined in 2006 and in which he has held various positions in Business Administration. He started in Chile working for CSAV as VP Finance and Administration, and then from 2012 to 2014 he acted as VP Finance and Administration for CSAV North American Region in USA. In 2014 until 2017 he led the Business Administration function in Area Brazil and from 2018 until 31 July 2023, he has acted as the Business Administration SVP for Region Latin America.
Senior Vice President Operations
Degree in Nautical and Maritime Transport from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), with a Diploma in Container Terminal Management (MTO) from the DP World Institute. He also holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia (UPV) and a change management certification from Prosci.
Iván has more than 20 years of professional experience in the international port industry; prior to taking up the position he worked for COSCO Shipping Ports, DP World and Hutchison Ports in various senior management positions. He joined the company in October 2021.
Senior Vice President Commercial & Business Development
Degree in business administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica and an MBA from the London Business School. Prior to this position, he was Chief Development Officer and Deputy Performance Control Manager at SAAM. Before that, he was Head of the Regional Public Transportation Division at the Chilean Ministry of Transportation. He also worked in asset management and project management at several companies.
Senior Vice President Human Resources & Sustainability
Degree in psychology from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an MBA from Loyola College. Prior to being named SAAM’s Chief Human Resource Officer, he held the same position at Metro S.A. and IBM Chile and before that he was the Human Resources and Communications Manager at Minera Spence and Minera Cerro Colorado (BHP Billiton).
Senior Vice President Information & Communication Technologies
He holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. He also possesses a master’s degree in Information Technology from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, a post-graduate diploma in Software Project Management from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and a Professional Certificate in Digital Transformation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Before his current position, he served as Corporate Chief Information Officer at SAAM.
Throughout his professional career, he has accumulated over 20 years of experience in the shipping, port terminals, and logistics industries, holding several executive positions in IT management at CCNI and Hamburg Süd Chile, eventually becoming Vice President of Information Technology.
