Terminal Marítima de Mazatlán (Tmaz) celebrated an important achievement by earning ISO 14001:2015 certification.
“This is great news to close out this year, as this certification not only reflects how we are doing our work at the port, but it is also a powerful demonstration of our company’s commitment to our environmental management system, which balances efficiency with reducing environmental impacts,” said Tmaz General Manager Mauricio Ortiz.
“The certification represents our team’s firm commitment to continuous improvement, to our customers and to the community,” the executive added.
With this accomplishment, Tmaz is now the seventh SAAM Terminals operation to be certified, bringing the total to 70% of the company’s ports.
Tmaz is a multipurpose terminal connected to Mexico’s west coast and the southern United States via the Mazatlán-Matamoros freeway. Focused on products for the automotive, agricultural, fishing, forestry and mineral industries,
it is one of Mexico’s leading vehicle transfer ports serving major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
