Chief Executive Officer
Degree in electrical engineering from Universidad de Chile and MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. Prior to his current position, he was managing director of SAAM’s Port Terminals Division. Before joining SAAM, he was a senior director for Hapag-Lloyd in Dubai and Shanghai and, before that, senior vice-president of business development at Compañía Sudamericana de Vapores.

Vice-President of Operations
Undergraduate degree in Nautical Sciences and Maritime Navigation from Universitat Politècnica de Barcelona and a Master’s in Terminal Operations (MTO) from DP World Institute, and is also certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt by Universitat Politècnica de Valencia (UPV). He has over 20 years of professional experience in the global port industry including different senior management roles with COSCO Shipping Ports, DP World and Hutchinson Ports before joining SAAM.
Chief Commercial Officer
Degree in industrial engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an MBA from HEC Paris. Before his current position, he was the Deputy Commercial Manager at SAAM. Prior to that, he worked at Hapag-Lloyd at Key Account Manager and Regional Sales Manager for Latin America.
Chief Development Officer
Degree in business administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica and an MBA from the London Business School. Prior to this position, he was Chief Development Officer and Deputy Performance Control Manager at SAAM. Before that, he was Head of the Regional Public Transportation Division at the Chilean Ministry of Transportation. He also worked in asset management and project management at several companies.
Chief People, OHS and Security Officer
Degree in psychology from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an MBA from Loyola College. Prior to being named SAAM’s Chief Human Resource Officer, he held the same position at Metro S.A. and IBM Chile and before that he was the Human Resources and Communications Manager at Minera Spence and Minera Cerro Colorado (BHP Billiton).
Corporate Institutional Relations Officer
Degree in industrial engineering from Universidad de Santiago de Chile. Executive with over 20 years’ experience in the port-maritime industry. Before taking on the role of Chief Institutional Relations Officer, he held the same position at SAAM. Previously, he was General Manager of Antofagasta Terminal Internacional. Before that he held several positions at companies like CSAV—as General Manager for South America East Coast Region and Africa, among other roles—and NYK Line, where he was Deputy General Manager of NYK Sudamérica Chile.
Chief Information Officer
Degree in IT engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, a graduate certificate in software project management from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a masters in IT from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. Prior to his current position, he was Chief Information and Communications Officer at SAAM. Before that he worked an advisor and senior consultant in IT. Between 1996 and 2015 he worked at CCNI and then Hamburg Süd, reaching the position of Deputy IT Manager.
