For the first time, all of the company’s ports in Chile earned Huella Chile emissions reduction seals. San Antonio Terminal Internacional achieved the Seal of Excellence, the program’s highest level of recognition.
The company’s port terminals and logistics center received I-REC certificates verifying use of renewable energy for 100% of their electricity consumption.
SAAM Terminals and SSA Marine, controllers of San Antonio Terminal Internacional (STI), reported that Andrés Albertini, the current commercial manager, will take over as general manager of the port terminal on August 1.
Starting August 1st, Rodrigo Galleguillos will take over as Senior Vice President Commercial & Business Development of SAAM Terminals.
The activity was a commitment made by the SAAM Terminals Cup to donate a tree for each goal scored in the tournament.
SAAM Terminals closed a global collaboration agreement with Next Port AI, the technology subsidiary of the global company Moffatt & Nichol, to implement their new platform that combine DigitalTwin and Artificial Intelligence technologies: a digital replica of the port´s physical assets, processes and systems that is created from real-time data collected from sensors and other IoT (Internet of Things) technologies, and used to analyze, predict and optimize the port´s performance.
SAAM Terminals announced the appointment of Rodrigo Pommiez as the new CEO of Iquique Terminal Internacional, one of the ports controlled by SAAM Terminals.
More than 90 union leaders from SAAM Terminals’ multipurpose ports in Chile (Iquique, Antofagasta, San Antonio and San Vicente) met at the Third Port Meeting on June 25 and 26. Hosted by Antofagasta Terminal Internacional (ATI), this meeting was an opportunity for reflection and dialogue on the industry’s future and the sector’s challenges.
